What Membership do you have? University of Ulster Student membership
Why did you choose Templemore? I chose Templemore because the gym is very big and has a few power racks which is what I am most interested in using.
How long have you been a member? 3 years
What motivates you to exercise? I exercise mainly to keep fit and healthy as well as for a break from my university course. I also play Gaelic football and enjoy the team aspect and social side of that.
What activities do you attend? I use the gym in both Templemore and Riversdale.
What are your fitness goals? To get that ‘Kim K Butt’.
Are you achieving your goals? Yes I would say I am happy with where I’m at, but always trying to progress a bit further each season.
Do you feel that our centre has helped you to reach your goals? If yes, how?
Yes, the quality and variety of equipment has helped me to vary my training. Also the fact that I can access both Riversdale and Templemore helps me to reach my goals.
How do you feel about Templemore since we reopened?
I feel very safe when I use Templemore and Riversdale as they both have very good social distancing and cleaning measures in place.
Do you feel safe using our centre?
Yes, the equipment is very clean and there is hand sanitizer on entry and exit of the building as well as throughout the gym, and all members seem to be making a good effort to clean their machines before and after they use them.
Do you have any suggestions for us on how we could improve our service?
I think the range of classes that is on offer is great, but I would love to see an Olympic lifting or Cross fit style class added to the fitness class timetable.
Would you recommend Templemore to a friend? Why?
Yes I would particularly encourage students to join as the package is very good value for money and gives you access to gyms in Derry, Strabane and Castlederg which is good if you live in one area and study or work in another.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
The staff are very welcoming and helpful within Templemore and Riversdale, and the current set-up of covid-related measures are very good.
