Physical Activity, Wellbeing & Sport Strategy 2022-2027

Derry City and Strabane District Council is preparing a Physical Activity, Wellbeing & Sport Strategy for the period 2022-2027. The strategy will demonstrate how the Council will deliver and enable others to deliver a range of physical activity, wellbeing and sport services, helping to achieve the objectives outlined in the district’s Inclusive Strategic Growth Plan 2017-2032, which has a vision of a ‘thriving, prosperous and sustainable City and District with equality of opportunity for all.’  The strategy will identify, nurture and develop opportunities for improving health and wellbeing and increasing participation in sport.

These surveys, part of a wider consultation exercise, are for individuals, Physical Activity, Wellbeing and Sport Providers and Education Sector.  By completing the relevant survey for you or your organisation, it will get you thinking about the importance of being active and how active you are at the moment.  The information you give us will help in preparing the strategy and in creating a picture of current activities and programmes to help in preparing the strategy.   There are a number of prizes available also for taking part,  Links below.

This survey is for the education sector.  If your school, college or university delivers opportunities for physical activity, wellbeing or sport this survey is for you.

• Providers survey for all sports clubs, groups and organisations (private, social enterprise, charities etc) that deliver physical activity, well-being and sports activities/programmes

This survey is for clubs, groups and organisations that delivery opportunities for physical activity, wellbeing or sports activities. If you are a sports club, youth group, community organisation, commercial/private operator, church group or senior citizens group, this survey is for you.
